Tom advises insurers, claimants, and defendants on a wide range of indemnity, property damage, and construction matters. Tom has extensive experience of advising on first party, liability, and construction all risks wordings, and industry standard forms including the JCT and NEC contract suites. Between 2016 and 2020 Tom lectured, delivering the “Law” element of the Birmingham Institution of Civil Engineers’ Law and Contracts Management course.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020 Tom has been a leading advisor to the insurance industry on COVID-19 business interruption claims, and has acted on some of the highest profile claims in the market, including Corbin & King and Mayfair Banqueting.

In addition to advising on claims, Tom has experience of reviewing wordings and clause drafting.
